RealNetworks Issues Patch for Vulnerability

RealNetworks has issued a patch for the vulnerability identified by Symantec on 10/18 that users can download here - http://service.real.com/realplayer/security/191007_player/en/

I got a pop up on my task bar to install a patch for real player. After I did, AOL is not working properly and I get the last song I play with real player before I installed the patch.
