We've got a new tool for generating RhapLinks. It also generates HTML codes for inserting into web pages, blog templates or social networking profile pages. It's not launched yet, but we'd love to get your feedback anyway. Check it out at http://www.rhapsody.com/rhaplinkTool and let us know what you think.

Pretty neat tool, I did find a problem tho, with the search and this problem is for all rhapsody searching.
Searching Artist Name:
Query string: quas
Im expecting to see Quasi and Quasimoto in my results, I see neither.
It returns
Qua Electronica/Dance
Qua Experimental
Qua' Ti' Si'
and then moves on to qwas and quads.

Another thing that could improve the UI, why have a "New Search" button under the results of a search? When not just have one button to submit the search query. Its confusing to have two buttons. And when i hit the "submit" button, instead of the new search button, to do another search Im taken to a blank page without the form, results or even an error message.

This is indeed interesting. Ponderous even. Oh the things I can do with this.
Also, in regards to search as my colleagues have so elloquently pointed out. . . it would be incredibly useful to have an advanced search feature for Rhapsody. Right now I can only search with one term. What if I can't quite remember the title of a track or its album, but I know what artist and the first couple letters of the title?
And if I could get incredibly ahead of myself, how bout the ability to search for songs only knowing a few lyrics? That would be the end all song searching tool. How many times have you repeated over and over the same lyrics without even knowing who sang the song? Now, up steps Rhapsody, not only can it find it, but you can hear it too. Pewch!

These are good suggestions. We'll try to update the tool soon.

Well, I think there is something I am missing on the Rhaplink tool. The layout is a bit funky. What I am trying to get is the layout with the large album art with the album and artist on the left with the round Play button. You don't seem to offer this in either of the HTML code scrollboxes. Sure, I can pull it out of your code myself, but I think that is something you should make an easy pull... am I missing something?

Ok, I like the changes you recently made to the tool. Looks much nicer now. I'd only make a couple of suggestions. First of all, I'd rather you didn't decide in what color the album and the artist names are displayed. Each of us already has a color scheme on our sites and it doesn't necessarily match the Rhapsody blue color. Also, the Rhapsody image is fine with me, but I think you need to either make it transparent or turn it into a button. My site has a gray background and the logo looks horrible on it. I can obviously just remove the image, but thought you might rather offer a better looking image so you can get your brand on my site ;-).
Just a couple of suggestions. Nice work!

Am I completely insane in thinking that there used to be a tool that would create a link that included the album cover?

Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.

I like it and the background and colors make it easy to read.

yo Karl!
what song are you quoting these lyrics from?
"Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend."

I haven't been up to much lately. So it goes. What can I say? I've just been letting everything wash over me recently, not that it matters. I just don't have much to say these days.
